Helena & Michael - St. Stephen’s Latin Mass Wedding

Capturing Helena and Michael's wedding at historic St. Stephen's in Cleveland was an unforgettable experience filled with love, emotion, and timeless beauty. Both graduates of Franciscan University of Steubenville, their connection was palpable, radiating warmth and joy throughout the day. Helena's mom's flower shop adorned the venue with stunning, colorful floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the historic charm of the venue. Both families exuded love and happiness, creating an atmosphere of pure celebration.

The ceremony was a poignant blend of tradition and heartfelt moments, with Helena's father's touching words before giving her away leaving not a dry eye in the room. (See the Video that some said should be mandatory wedding prep HERE. ) The historic church provided a unique backdrop, allowing us to capture stunning angles and perspectives, including views from the balcony overlooking the altar. The bridal party looked resplendent, with bridesmaids in beautiful blues adorned with French blue shawls and matching mantillas. Michael's emotional presence left a lasting impact, inspiring couples who follow. From the heartfelt speeches to the lively dance floor, every moment was filled with joy and celebration. When a sprinkle of rain stopped the couple ventured out from the reception to feed and visit horses, a charming moment of the day. One of my favorite memories was that Helena had asked that I capture a prank she had planned for her father. Throughout their relationship, they would hide and surprise each other with a rubber snake. Helena had planned to put it in her father’s hand during their first dance but he beat her to it! During his incredible toast, he presented it to her in a gift bag….and the look on her face as she extracted it!

As photographers, we felt blessed to witness such a special union and ended the day with prayers for Helena, Michael, and their families, as they embark on this new chapter together.
